Copper Foiling 10 week block workshop

About the session

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN Spend 10 sessions creating a beautiful window decorations using the copper foil method. Each session will last 3 hours during which I will expertly guide you through the basic steps of making stained glass using the copper foil method. You will be given a choice of designs from which you will work. Each session will be taken at your pace during which you will learn how to use a pattern, cut sheet glass, use a glass grinder, foiling, solder a small panel, cement and finish your panel. No experience required! WHAT YOU WILL TAKE HOME A finished copper foil glass piece made by YOU with with vibrant glass colours! You’ll begin your 10-week block with an introductory project designed to start you on your stained glass journey. With my guidance and hands-on support throughout, you’ll then move on to designing and creating a unique piece of your own. All materials and supplies for your initial starter piece are fully included. For any subsequent projects, participants will be responsible for purchasing their own materials to suit their individual designs. However, all tools and equipment are provided for use during the course, and I will be happy to offer guidance and assistance in sourcing suitable glass and materials for your work. Just bring your sweet self, an open mind, and the bravery to break a little glass! ONLY 2 SPACES AVAILABLE PER SESSION When - Wednesday or Thursday evenings 6pm - 9pm / Saturday afternoons 2pm - 5pm (please check booking diary for dates) What - Approx. 3 hour class Where - Studio F103, Wasps, Hanson Street Who - 2 students per session will learn from myself. * further details will be provided to students via email prior to workshops. **Must be 18 or older to participate. ***This is an introductory session and some of the glass will be pre-cut. ****Cancellations or changes to bookings must be made up to 24 hours before the booked as deposits may be forfeited in circumstances where students fail to attend.
